“Rotorvation Helicopters Services know what you need when you need it. Their structured theory courses and expert pilot training make learning to fly a helicopter a breeze” – Sean Devantier – CPL Student 2008

Why Train with us?

  • Safety is our number one priority in all aspects of our training.

  • We instill a culture of safety and professionalism in our students from the very start of their training. Students can be confident their training will allow them to develop the skills and decision making capability to handle every scenario when, in the future, they are operating in a commercial environment or simply flying friends or family away for the day.

  • The availability of regular theory courses or individual tuition allows the flight and theory training to be fully integrated giving the student the maximum benefit from each component. At Rotorvation, our theory courses are structured to integrate with the flight training syllabus. Our theory courses are run by a team of dedicated and experienced instructors and overseen by the Chief Flying Instructor. Our belief is that a structured and comprehensive theory base builds a solid foundation for the complete flight training package. Our aim is to teach and reinforce safe, professional and efficient flying practices that will be carried forward throughout your entire aviation career. All course notes have been developed in house and are constantly updated to remain current with aviation legislation and exam material content.  This aspect coupled with visual aids, power point presentations and access to a fully functioning engineering division at our hangar, gives our students the best possible start and ongoing support when embarking on their private or commercial licence, endorsement or rating.

  • Our Jandakot Airport base is not only located within a GAAP zone (General Aviation Aerodrome Procedures, a high density air traffic depicted zone), but also adjoins Perth airports CTA (air traffic controlled area). With non controlled airspace close by, it is ideal for navigation training and familiarization with operations at non-controlled aerodromes. This gives students practical exposure to all classes of airspace, ensuring an all inclusive, thorough training experience without the need for long, expensive positioning flights. With comprehensive and integrated theory courses, experienced instructors, excellent location and an unparalleled dedication to safety and professionalism, Rotorvation offers the most valued training experience in Australia.

  • Rotorvation’s flight and ground crew are all experts in their own fields but work together as a team to make the challenging, demanding world of a student pilot run as smoothly as possible. From the onset the team will take the time to answer all your questions, discuss any concerns, explain the innumerable official forms, assist with scheduling theory and booking flights and generally lend a guiding hand in a new and unfamiliar world. In short, we will make you feel part of the Rotorvation family.

  • Each student will have a primary instructor with whom they will conduct the bulk of their training providing invaluable continuity of training.

  • In addition, all students fly regularly with Rotorvation's Chief Flying Instructor (CFI) giving them the enormous benefit of his thousands of hours of instructional experience. Rotorvation’s CFI does not believe in showing his face only on flight test day; he has an integral and ongoing role in each students training and progress.

  • Rotorvation’s CFI holds CASA testing approval for all the licences, ratings and endorsements offered at Rotorvation allowing the student to test “in-house” with someone they have flown with regularly.

  • Rotorvation’s helicopters are maintained to the highest standard by Heliflite, an Australian leader in helicopter sales and maintenance. Co-located in the Rotorvation Helicopter Services premises, the engineers are on hand to offer helpful advice and explanations to students and pilots alike. Plus they are the people to see when you are ready to your own helicopter.
